These curvilinear slide rest patterns were suggested by a prominent turner. They have a high amplitude that lends itself well to robust patterns. In many cases only a portion of a pattern gets used and sometimes two patterns get used simultaneously. These lend themselves well to such situations. They are made from steel with edges polished to a fine shine.
