The dovetail tower is an upgrade that will allow for the lateral movement of a rubber along the tower while keeping the same relative position. If your rosettes have the same major diameter it will allow you to play the rosettes against each other to create effects not possible using one rosette alone. While it will make moving the rubber from rosette to rosette easier in OT work it is essential for more advanced engine turning, especially when making the diamond which incorporates multiple rosettes to create the pattern. The tower replaces the original tower and mounts to the table using the same holes.
