The screw feed tailstock is supplied with an adjustable live center for easier alignment and better control. This tailstock has several advantages.

  1. The tailstock is easily adjusted to get your arbor/part centered rather than having to adjust the entire tailstock bed. The adjustment can be made to the live center simply by loosening the two socket head cap screws, dial in the mandrel or part, and then tightening the screws.
  2. The live center rotates reducing friction, which means that it will not loosen up during the operation like a dead center occasionally does.
  3. The screw feed allows better control of the amount of pressure and immediate release.
